What we stand for

Eight principles.
Locked.

We'd rather tell you what we'll never do than market what we will. These are the lines TrustPadel won't cross — written in the code, not in marketing copy.

01

Minor-safe is non-negotiable.

Under-18 accounts are physically absent from every public surface, API, and commercial feed.

Country-aware adult-age threshold (strictest if unknown). Enforced in the database — not in app code we could accidentally bypass. No marketing comms to minors. No adult↔minor messaging. Ever.

02

Privacy is a default, not a setting.

Rating visibility is opt-in. Identified data sales need explicit consent. Special-category data is sealed.

You appear publicly when you choose to. Aggregate sales are de-identified with a minimum-cohort rule (≥5 players). Identity, condition, and preference tags live in a protected store and are never sold or aggregated — full stop.

03

The rating is the work, not the score.

Crest is opt-in, integrity-gated, and replayable. We don't gate community on rating.

Posting, following, attending, organising, playing — none of it requires a Crest. The rating exists to be meaningful when you want it, not to keep anyone out of the sport.

04

Money never moves the rating.

Credits buy access, cosmetics, competition entry. They don't move a single Crest point.

Architectural firewall, not a policy. CI tests grep for SQL or app code joining credit_transactions to player_ratings — they fail the build. If we ever stopped meaning this, you'd see it in the code, not just the wording.

05

Open by default.

Public Crest API is keyless for single-player lookups. Badge embeds work everywhere.

We want your rating on your blog, your club's site, your fantasy app. The data licence kicks in for bulk + identified feeds. Everything else is open — and we explain what we sell and to whom in plain English.

06

Inclusion is real, not a tag line.

Women's, accessibility, and adaptive sport features are built with the people they're for.

Para classifications live in the protected store with self-rated visibility. Trans-inclusive women's spaces by self-ID. Accessibility flags on venues are community-confirmable. The bar isn't compliance — it's whether the right people would actually use what we built.

07

Operators are partners, not the product.

Clubs and coaches list free. Premium placement is opt-in, transparent, and clearly marked.

We don't auction your listing against a competitor. We don't dim your search ranking until you pay. Premium placement is a paid surface, labelled, and players can filter it out.

08

Mistakes are visible.

Corrections are versioned, not silent. Every rating change is replayable from the audit log.

If we make a mistake, we tell you. Federation reissues a result? Buyer pulls the correction at the next cadence — never as a quiet edit. Every Crest move ties back to a match.

Hold us to it

The principles live in code.

Every line above maps to something concrete you can verify:

  • Minor protection

Row-level security on every public table. Junior accounts return 404 from the API.

  • Money / rating firewall

CI greps for forbidden SQL joins. PRs that breach it fail.

  • Open Crest API

/api/v1/players/{handle}/crest is keyless. Try a curl right now.

  • Audit-logged corrections

Every Crest change writes to a partitioned rating_event table. Replayable end-to-end.

Who we are

Built by players.

TrustPadel is built by BuiltByGo Limited — a UK studio shipping competitive-data platforms across sports. We're padel players first, engineers second, business owners third. The things on this page exist because we'd want them as players, not because an investor demanded them.

We're not VC-funded. We don't answer to a quarterly growth target. The plan is to be around long enough that the rating you earn here matters in ten years.
